Code of Conduct
The Soulclick Code of Conduct defines our values, principles and rules of conduct for transparent, fair and sustainable collaboration.
The Code of Conduct (CoC) was adopted by the management of Marketing Monkeys GmbH on September 5, 2024, and published thereafter.
Core Values & Principles
Our team consists of people from various countries, cultures, and orientations—we are committed to diversity, honesty, and respect. Our values are politically and religiously neutral. We distance ourselves from any form of extremism, populism, and terrorism.
We treat all individuals with respect and value their freedom of opinion and will. Our solutions aim to improve the lives of everyone and not just benefit the privileged few.
Social Impact
Soulclick is a privately-owned Swiss company that aims to leave both an entrepreneurial and social impact. We are committed to Switzerland and strive to contribute to a neutral and multilateral Switzerland, carrying forward its humanitarian legacy.
With the help of new technologies and fundraising innovations, we work towards a fairer, more sustainable, and inclusive world. We are proud to support the important work of nonprofit organizations with the simplicity of our software solutions. We also donate regularly for meaningful causes and projects.
Workplace Conduct
We foster a culture of trust and openness. Respectful interaction and communication at eye level are standard for us. We value a healthy work-life balance and support flexible working models to meet the individual needs of our employees. Discrimination, bullying, or any form of inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
Sustainability
Sustainability is important to us and starts with the small things: We prefer remote meetings to avoid unnecessary travels and use public transport whenever possible. Our office is just a few meters from a public transport stop.
In our daily operations, we focus on waste separation and recycling, and we avoid using paper whenever possible (e.g., in communications). When cooking together in the office, we use organic ingredients. We also raise awareness among our employees about water consumption and food waste.
Soulclick's SaaS accounts require electricity to keep our donation portals and donation forms available at all times. All accounts are powered by renewable energy from hydropower and hosted in Switzerland.
Scope
Our Code of Conduct applies equally to employees, clients, and partners. We work exclusively with people and organizations that share our values.
Legal Standards
Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing
Soulclick strives to adhere to the highest standards in the prevention of money laundering and terrorism financing. We follow the Swiss Money Laundering Act (GwG). New clients undergo a review process. A written money laundering policy must be provided, which must have been updated within the past three years.
Data Protection
We value transparency when handling donor data. We do not use data from charities for third-party purposes (e.g., studies, data resale, etc.) and adhere to the legal frameworks of Swiss and European data protection regulations. More information can be found at: Soulclick Privacy | Our privacy policy
Data Security and Donation Terms The transfer of payment and personal data is encrypted. No card data is stored, and personal data is treated with strict confidentiality.
One-time donations cannot be revoked or refunded. Recurring donations can be canceled at any time with the organization, with no notice period required. However, refunds for recurring donations are also not possible. Donors receive a donation receipt and can deduct the donation from their taxable income.
Clients are asked to update their donation and privacy policies on their websites, in line with our guidelines, before going live.
Collaboration Guidelines
The following principles apply when working with clients:
- Organizations must be recognized as charitable. Each organization undergoes an onboarding process with a selective review of statutes and other documents.
- Transparency regarding annual accounts (public publication or provision) is expected.
- Strategic bodies (e.g., board or foundation council) must be strictly separated from operational bodies (e.g., management).
- Organizations that are discouraged from receiving donations by Zewo (here’s the online listing) will not be served by us.
- Ownership of all data (customers, transactions, etc.) collected through Soulclick always stays with the clients. Any access to donor data is governed by a confidentiality agreement.
- We do not provide free services or free pitches to clients.
- We reject any form of pre-financing or commission-based fundraising.
- Mediators and partners are required to adhere to the above principles; otherwise, the collaboration will be terminated.
Responsibility
All employees and partners of Soulclick are committed to complying with the Code of Conduct. Enforcement is the responsibility of CEO Thomas Roth. The Code of Conduct will be reviewed and updated periodically as necessary.
